Hey thanks. By the way, I loved your thread on my life in bass with all the pictures of your basses over the years. Great idea.
Thanks, mate - That's actually only the last four years! Thankfully, the previous sixteen years were filled with just one Status SII and one or two "second" basses that were usually sold off because the Status was so good. :) Before that there were just two others from when I was about 17. Oh so long ago!
Well, I'm a latecomer to the club, but here's mine... It's a June 2000 piezo model with the neck refininshed in satin lacquer by a luthier. Set it up to my tastes this morning (rasied the pickup to about 3mm off the strings in the middle & added some nice 40-100 FatBeams.) Gigged it at lunchtime & it's got an utterly massive tone - Very very impressed! Apologies for re-use of Dave's pics. I'll do some more when I get a moment... :)

No, it's got the grey pearloid one on at the moment, but the shiny black one is coming in the post tomorrow, hopefully.

As for the bald guy... There's another one now... The wicked witch put us there, LOL!

^^that white stingray 5 is possibly my favourite in this whole thread. its the tits!

fwiw heres a few I (some foolishly) let go

white sparkle Sterling, traded to wavydavey on here. I'd love to think I'll maybe trace and get this one back one day.

candy apple red Sterling, traded to eubassix

saphire black HH Bongo, traded to bigwan for the 5HH I have now

white HS Bongo, traded with power of ten on here(that man has an amazing musicman collection!)

vintage sunburst Stingray, went to jezzaboy a few months back

teal 2EQ Stingray, retrofitted later with a Status graphite neck and then stupidly sold on ebay (though I did have bills to pay)

teal SUB active, bought by v max blues before I was a member on here

there were others before these - a natural late 80s Sabre fretless,a black pre EB, an early 90s blueburst SR5, and a 97 honeyburst Sterling none of which I have any pics of unfortunately

cheers

Keir

I agree, but it originally came with the pearloid guard but i added the black for my tastes but re installed the perloid for originality when sold to Rich.

Cheers
