Played a couple of gorgeous Ibanez SR's in Dawsons yesterday - I particularly love their necks; thinnest - and fastest I've ever played. Just wondering, has anyone requested the SR neck dimensions on their Maruszczyk mod? How did it turn out?

Yes, the neck on my elwood is based on measurements of the neck on my SR1605. Its very nice - that was one of the reason (as it shows somewhere on this massive thread) that I went for one, that I could have the neck dimensions that I wanted.

I thought I'd read that! How accurate a reproduction is it? Does it have the same feel?

Dimensions it is very accurate. It plays very similar although not quite the same feel as the ibanezes are satin, whereas the elwood isnt.
Plays very similar though and I am very happy with it.

Not really relevant, but I've had Adrian copy the neck on my Harris with my 32" Speesys, my first one plays so similar to it I might get rid of the Harris!
Adrian's guys have attention to detail, they do really good work.

Another fantastic V - love the matching headstock too!

I wasn't sure what the response would be, but so far it's positive

I'm glad other people like it.

Just can't wait to sit down with it and play it.

Your wish is granted!

Suitably Cheap Trick and suitably bonkers!

Wow!
Is this a 32"er with a low B too?

Cheers,

It is!

I was tempted to get it set up from E-C but I ended up not doing that.

You're crazy
I love your crazy bass ideas. :) All that pointiness is not for me but they look cool.

Haha, yeah. It takes an eccentric to play the pointyness.

Don't tempt me but I'm contemplating a Fretless Speesy with F holes in the future!

Just paid for it, here's hoping it gets sent out tomorrow!
