I've been wanting a slightly wider pedaltrain mini for years, even emailed pedaltrain last year and they said they had no plans to release anything of the sort. The sneaks. 11 new boards released this year (!!) and the Metro 24 is exactly what I have been wanting - a PT mini extended for one more pedal rejoice!!! I built my own with wood, screws and some black spray paint I found in the shed, cost me about £15 and is the the size of a classic but it fits my kit perfectly. [/quote] As the pedaltrain site says, wooden ones just don't last on the road. I agree pedaltrains are overpriced but they definitely aren't snake oil. The only one with 2 rails is the Nano+, then I'd have to go for one with 3 rails which I'd only want if I was using a wah... Am I missing something? EDIT: oh, I get now that the 3rd rail only adds 1 inch to the mini... good stuff then. Might upgrade to that. I now have a PT Nano+ with TU-2, Micro-POG, Bad Monkey and SansAmp on it for my utility board My main FX board will have my BBM Pi, some OD, my CEB-3 and TC Flashback - been trying to shoehorn it into the smallest board possible but with a PSU and DI box as well I'm going to have to use a PT Classic Junior. Here's the problem: I'm having trouble mounting the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power 2+ to the underside. The brackets I bought off of Amazon are for the right PSU but will only fit the older PT-JR series not the Classics anyone have any ideas on how to do this? The board is fine, but the case is a let down, no longer has a side pocked or anywhere to put leads, plectrums, etc. Don't really see it as an improvement at all... first world problems though!! plus edit to say pedaltrain have the best customer service I've ever encountered, so can't grumble too much! TrevorR Posted August 19, 2015 Share Posted August 19, 2015 Set it out tonight. All went more or less straightforwardly. I can see how if you had the wrong length of bracket it would be a nightmare. Sacrificing £10 on the correct brackets is probably much better than trying a bodge job of some sort. There was a bit of drilling but it went OK. My main helpful hint is to drill the two holes at one end and then mount the brackets in place with screws. Then, use the holes on the loose ends of the brackets as guides for drilling the other house. That way you can guarantee they are in the right place and will align. Also, the box said to use a 5mm drill. I used a 3mm one and that was just the right size. If you used 5mm I really don't think that the screws would have had any metal to catch on. If it's a misprint on the box it's one heck of a misprint! Once my Cleartone patch cables arrive and I have tidied up the cables underneath I will post some photos of the board in the appropriate thread.
