Hi all,

I'm selling my Alleva Coppolo LG5 "Classic Supreme". This is the top of the line model/series. One of the last more coveted basses made in NYC (05/2008) before Jimmy moved production to California. The best 60s style jazz bass one can buy in many people's opinion opinion of many people.

Alder body, maple neck, fingerboard upgraded to rare dalbergia negra (Brazilian rosewood). There is a big up charge for this.

Nitrocellulose laquer finish. Sunburst body. Vintage frets.

Cosmetically there are some dings/bumps. Neck, electronics, frets 100%. If one so wishes, the action can be set incredibly low.

4.3kg/9.5lb. Please find a link for exact dimensions/further specs.

Street price for a new bass with same specs is $6600. That is GBP 4,400 plus VAT = GBP 5300. That is before adding any import duty/tax and shipping.

I am looking for a straight sale. No trades please. If interested welcome to try in London. Plenty of references in Basschat.

Thanks for looking,

Arnold

I'd just like to chime in and say that I bought a bass off Arnoldo a year and a half ago - he is a top guy, really trustworthy, accommodating and easy to deal with. Highly recommended seller, with some really nice kit!

Good luck with the sale. Looks like a fine example of an AC5.

Hi,

I am not the original owner although I have owned it for around 4 years.

The instrument is in perfect working condition. Playability and sound is amazing. Almost unnoticeable fret wear as I play with a very light touch/action.

The only reason that I am selling some instruments is that I am recording and playing professionally much less than before; hence downscaling my gear collection.

Best,

Arnold
