All this talk about being in the groove and no mention of Bootsy? The one song that has shaped my 2014 and the groove that has inspired me, after discovering the band here on BC, is:

THE ENTRANCE BAND - FINE FLOW - DALLAS TX:

They also released a cool instrumental version:
Good example of how groove means one thing to a person and another to someone else.

One from my teens - Naked by Reef. The simplest bass line imaginable behind a great guitar hook. I hear this song and it always pulls me right into that groove!

Used to play this in my band and I reckon a good measure of whether a song grooves or not is if the way an attractive woman dances to it in front of you can make your mouth fall open and a lump rise in your throat ;)

My entry.

EDIT: How do you inline a youtube video on this site? I've tried looking around for information, and all I find is advice to just paste the link into a post. But, it doesn't work for me.

Wrap the link in media tags, and change https to http.

To save yourself commiting that to memory, quote a post with a working one in for an easy reminder...

Thanks. I'd noted the need for media tags, but didn't know that I had to change https to http. Hence I couldn't understand why other people's youtube videos were inlined, but mine weren't. I'd been looking at other people's postings, but didn't notice the http/https thing.

Here goes nothing:

Edit: Thanks!
