Nowadays I listen to too many different genres to have a favourite 'per se' but the band I listen to most when I want to relax is James taylor's. Bass player either leland sklar or jimmy johnson. P[/quote] I have those recordings and unfortunately I can't decide if it's the commercialised (over)production that I dislike or the fact that the sound has evolved into keyboards and schmaltzie/generic rock guitar sounds. Either way I rarely (if ever) play anything post Dream Police (regardless of bassist), even All Shook Up... and the Rockford CD was relegated to the back of the rack after the first airing! Still my favourite band purely for those early recordings and everyone should listen to the debut album at least once, if only to show that 'I want you to want me' isn't the be all and end all of Cheap Trick. What a superb band, especially live.[/quote] Funny, I`ve seen Francis Dunnery live about a dozen times now (and will see him again a couple more later this year once he pulls his finger out and gets the gig dates arranged for the Welcome to the Wild Country tour - only 16 years after the album was released ), but have only seen IB live once, and even then that was at a Francis Dunnery Fan convention.
