New Amp Week - Ampeg B-1R

Got it few days ago, for a half price of new PF-350, retubed it today.

This thing is very nice!

Power is sufficient (150W @4ohm), sound is very round and full, but cleaner (opposed to my SVP-PRO preamp)
Made in 1995, has two 12AX7 tubes inside. EQ looks simple, but every knob controls two frequencies (bass and treble in push-pull mode, working in conjunction with mid frequency)
Ultra lo filter works way better than in PRO series

SVP-PRO on the bottom of B1:

Overall I'm very happy and I'm waiting for a gig! :)

Nice one, I just love the Ampeg sound, just wish I was able to carry their gear.

Hey, it's not bad! This amp weights 15lbs, Portaflex series are light too. If you need much power - check SVT-7 PRO, 15lbs too.

Yeah it`s the cabs I can`t handle, the amps as in your, the PFs and the 7-PRO are all doable but I like cabs to match (plus love the sound of Ampeg cabs). Now if Ampeg were to make a nice and light 112 cab that handled 400 watts or so, well I`m fairly sure they`d sell.
