Sounds fairly generic, until 1:04 when the flautist walks in, plays a little melody, then goes berserk! Mr Williams was clearly a massive Jethro Tull fan.

Yes, top playing. The Bassist is Jim Hughart, he was a busy LA studio player.

He was one of Carol Kaye's students..!

:D

 

The whole album is excellent and crammed with LA's finest studio players from back then.

Top, tight arranging from Patrick Williams as well with great harmonizing.

I believe the track above won a Grammy for Best Instrumental Arrangement of the year.

(Tom Scott on Jazz flute).
