What are you listening to right now?

A punk medley on 6music (punk-ish at least)

They just played a bit of Fat Lip by Sum 41 - the bass tone on that is huge!

Yeah just been watching it too! Cracking band :)

Did you recognise the bassist's second bass? Very nice looking 5-string J with maple board but I couldn't work out the logo...

Didn't get a close look I'm afraid.

As you say, cracking band. Loved the drummer especially but class playing all round.

Spirit Adrift - Enlightened In Eternity

These guys are going to be big - if you want upbeat, classic sounding metal, that is also up-to-date with some of the best solos in the genre, look no further.

They channel Metallica, Iron Maiden et al without sounding like a rip-off and really are a lot of fun

This popped up on my mp3 player this morning.  Pulled from a dodgy tape but I think it is the only copy (not mine)?  Unless someone here has one.  I love it - kind of ZZ Top meets Michael Jackson :)  And who couldn't love a band called Fester and the Vomits :D

Back in the 90s very time I set up to play along to albums I would almost always put Watt or Shhh on the turntable at some point.

Ten Years After a band I sadly only ever saw once - their all guns blazing return at reading '83.

I'm currently listening to Talk Talk's Colour of Spring; specifically:

Also this tune, can't wait for the new Billy Talent album - who knows when it will be out in the circumstances:
