spud19870 Posted June 19, 2014 Share Posted June 19, 2014 I have the ABM NEO RC, I haven't played a Rootmaster yet so can't comment too much on how it sounds but judging from my experience of the MAG's previously and the demo videos I have seen or the Rootmaster the ABM is more defined in it's sound. Also the drive on the ABM is taken care of through a 12AX7 tube which does give it more grunt I think. Also there is more you can do with the EQ than the RM. The biggest thing with the ABM NEO RC is the fact it is made in their custom shop in the UK, it took 4 weeks to arrive. Mine is hand built and came with a certificate by the guy who built it. Anyway for the price bracket the Rootmaster is fantastic, I haven't heard anything like it for £400. If it were me though I would save the extra and go for the ABM. Hope that helps.
