New 10" speakers for some cabs

So i've bought / am buying 2 homemade 1x10" cabs off someone but have been told that they're guitar speakers in them currently.

As i'm looking to use them with my genz shuttle 9 i want to swap out the speakers with something more suitable.

What to people recommend? At the moment i'm looking at some Eminence kappas.

Requirements are:

- both need to be 8 ohm
- 250/300 watt or more
- must be 10"

Send links to sites / Marketplace links please :)

Thanks

Not as simple as just throwing a couple of speakers in a box...but some of the guys on here
have decent software that can work out what chassis' would be more ideal in what size boxes.

Your cab will end up as either a 4ohm or 16ohms cab depending how you wire them
and you should be happy that your amp will run them at those impedences...
as in, a 16ohm box used on its own will be down on watts as the resistance is high...
and a 4ohm box will be the minimum load you can run with that amp so you will
not be able to run an extention cab with it.

As long as you have thought that through, they will want the internal dims of the cab
and any ports, altho if this is a gtr cab, you will have to be prepared to put insulation in it,
make sure it is braced well etc etc etc

I've text him asking for more details on the cab as he said he's been using them as guitar cabs rather than them definitely being them.

Also they're cheap so if worst comes to it i can always do something else with them
