He routed a neck pickup in, new wiring, side jack fitted, sanded the back of the neck to satin, and a full setup. It plays and sounds golden. Wonderful instrument. I started off as a guitar player and ended up playing bass basically (sorry) because someone had to! Anyway, guitars. Plus a First Act guitar i bought for twenty quid. The missing one is around somewhere, for some reason I just haven't got around to re-fitting it. I'm still on the lookout for a replacement pickup for the non-original one. The knobs aren't original. [/quote] I need a tour-able case for this. I've searched but only come up with ugly flight cases. Any ideas? Gibson don't make one I'd like something relatively airline-proof, but with a trad look, tweed or something. Guess I'll have to go custom, but where from? Thanks in advance for for any help. No luck so far though but I'm sure summat will turn up. Not for Christmas though sadly. Thanks again for your help. I may have to approach the case makers you've recommended. When I was in a band as a vocalist only the bass player quit so I stepped into the breach...I should have done it years ago! Down to just 4 guitars at the mo - a lovely 1996 Patrick Eggle Berlin Pro, a 2006 SG Standard, an NJ series BC Rich Assassin slab top 'super strat' and a cracking 1986 Godin Acousticaster deluxe.
