Alternative uses for strings

So, cut the grass yesterday, and then ran out of strimmer wire,,gadzooks I thought, I've some old bass strings in the garage, and with the aid of a screw attached, bass string and off I went....moral of the story?,,jees I can be a right idiot at times...( when they break, they go at one hell of a speed).

any other good uses for strings?

They are used in railway modelling to simulate the hoses on locomotives.

Clearly if the word gets out that I know this fact I will have to hunt you down and kill you all :ph34r:

Wow that really is a bombshell......lol

My confession is that i have rigged them up as a makeshift HAM radio aerial......

Yes i did just admit that i'm a radio HAM haha

I used some to tie up the water tank beneath my old campervan when the metal strap broke. Worked a treat.
