guitarnbass Posted June 30, 2007 Share Posted June 30, 2007 I seen a website like that a few months back, top of the range strats, but the special feature was this petrolium kind of finish, but with an array of colours, looked really neat, don't know what they're called but god knows there's hundreds of luthiers in this country making their own customized strat copies. I can't stand this "relic-ed" look. Would one buy a "relic-ed" car? To me it's like joining the army as a private then sticking a colonel insignia on your uniform. You're jumping the gun. If I've been using a bass or guitar for 20+ years and I know where each scrape and ding came from fair enough, but otherwise it just (to me) looks like a scruffy PoS... I prefer shiny things too!
