Well you could just tune it like a six string bass and play single notes, I did that it had a bit of an upright sound but didn't really have the volume. I reckon you have to give the proper technique a go really.

A friend of mine has one, he is going to let me have it for a couple of days next week.
So I might/will be pulling the trigger on one from Thomann. :)

I saw that and was tempted. But, I ended up buying a regular fretless acoustic. Hopefully I'll be able to hear mine above the noise of my son's mice squeaking. If anyone buys the Lucida, I'd very much like to hear reviews and sound clips.

Recently saw one of these in the flesh, although I don't think it was a thomann one. The chap had removed the strings and converted into a 4 string with bass tuning. When I saw it hanging on the wall, I thought it was a coracle !

Huge thing , big sound too.
