2013, it looks like there will be no 2014 models, he's got one more in stock, red with nitro finish.

Just got my MIJ jazz back from paint. Not sure which look I prefer. Was white but after a little accident with some paint stripper I decided on a refin. Had all the holes filled in case I decide to use it minus the eye candy.

I don't like the tort, it's much too red to my liking. Would probably prefer it clean, or with a black 3-ply. I always think that little white line adds some class :). I love it on my '75 RI, very luxurious (especially with the B&B neck).

Gorgeous 75RI you have there LeftyJ.
I tried the darker tort guard from my other jazz on the bass and it looked good but I'll keep it plain for a bit. Still to show it assembled to the guy who painted it.

That 75RI is just about Jazz perfection, had my eye on one at Ishibashi, beautiful looking bass, would be drooling over it even withnout the b&b neck which just makes it look amazing :gas: .

My second F(ake)ender Jazz Bass V.

As it came out of the box 2 months ago.

And after all the modifications. It took a while because some parts I needed were not in stock at the shop where ordered them.

What I've done to it:
- Aligned the tuners.
- Aligned the neck.
- Widened the string spacing at the bridge.
- Made a new pickguard.
- replaced the electronics, with stacked knob controls.
- (Hidden) proper grounding and shielding.

Made two new saddles for E and D strings, they are 3 millimeters wider than the stock ones, 1.5 millimeters on each side, this gives a string spacing of 17.5 millimeters over each string, exactly what I prefer.
It's quick and dirty, bur works and once the cover is over the bridge no one will see it. Edited by blablas

And the final modification is in place, a tort pickguard.

The gold colored one was not bad but this is what I had in mind when I started working on it. Edited by blablas

Blimey you're busy, sterling work ! - I'm still in awe of the fanned fretted EB-a-like you posted in the Gibson section.
