artisan Posted February 28, 2014 Share Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) All the talk of SG basses got my GAS going,like it does,so after a lunch time browse i caved in & bought a satin chocolate jobbie from Dawson's for the bargain price of £599 including vintage brown hard case. What a bloody silly bargain Can't wait for it to get here next week. A few years ago i had one of the SG Reissue basses & always regretted selling it. The electrics & everything else are the same. [/quote] I'm certain that is correct. The cheaper ones are painted with Cuprinol, and the "Heritage" ones have gloss lacquer for 400 quids more. The heavier nitro finish, the fancier inlayed fretboard, and Mother Of Pearl on the head, are the only difference for a lot more Buckeroos from SG Special's, and SG Std.'s.
