An active Les Paul may duplicated my Westone Thunder 2A guitar a bit much too. I'd really be impressed if anyone scored a deko Les Paul. Anyone going for it? EDIT: Gone. I have one already, and I think that over half new price is a lot for a deko. But then £123 for a 7 string - most likely usable. It shows that interesting things are happening still in the world of dekos even if I've taken my eye off the ball a bit. EDIT: That isn't half new price. The new price has gone up a lot since I bought mine. There was a 5 string neck through bass thing, and a Les Paul copy. Both also gone now. Think it's not helped to have been listening to Alexisonfire and Brand New a lot recently. I checked out some YouTube videos of it, and it absolutely sings!! Less than a ton brand new too. I check it out and there's a couple of minor finish problems, but a number of fret buzz problems along the A string. So I dug out my fret rocker and mallet, found the problem frets and seated them properly. Then applied sticky block markers (as I like them) and lemon oiled the neck. Checked for neck straightness, then adjusted string height and finally intonation. It's a great bass and the finish is terrific. I now have this, a standard precision (which I de-fretted and restrung with flats) and a round back acoustic. All have had to have small works done to them but ended up being good instruments. Annoyingly the P bass was cancelled about 20 mins ago, it seems to happen about 50% of the time. Saying that so far I have had 5 (6 with the tele) so far so some other people deserve them! Was similarly impressed with the Split Ps I put in my p-bass really. Given what I paid originally along with shipping and the new hardware, I was thinking £140 would be pretty fair.
