Do Thomann ship through Calais ?

I placed an order last Saturday morning and it was delivered Tuesday morning.
Could be deliveries to Scotland go a different route, maybe by air because that's very fast considering no-one works Sundays at Thomann.
Sunday night orders always arrive Wednesday morning. 56 hours from order processed email to signing for goods being the norm.

Anyone get the Black Jazz during the night?

If I had seen it I would have bought it... then again I'm so excitable with these dekos at the moment as I have a thomann voucher I'll buy almost anything bass related that comes up

except for anything ric related obviously...

I'm not going to look at the dekos until payday... Roll on Tuesday... unless a 7 string guitar appears...

Apparently it is their biggest seller in the Deco category, and a true Deco!

DEKOs

Including acoustic basses.

http://www.thomann.d...ic_bassdeko.htm

Fretless acoustic

http://www.thomann.d...tic_ba_deko.htm

Five string acoustic

http://www.thomann.d...bass_s_deko.htm

Apart from this acoustic guitar http://www.thomann.d...850_bk_deko.htm it seems to be 'all about the (acoustic) bass' this morning. No treble.

EDIT: Kodaik Blair got there hours before me. It seems that I'm hopelessly out of touch with dekos now. I was fast asleep at 1:28am!

Really odd one here. A black jazz bass from the 1975 'vintage' jazz bass range. But, it's at near full price if not full price. What gives?

http://www.thomann.d...tage_series.htm

The listing doesn't say deko (unless I missed it), only the first picture. ???????

@Myke

G'wan g'wan.

Once it's with the courier, I thought you could continue tracking the item even when Thomann is closed. Though, I must admit that I don't remember seeing movement during the weekend.

BTW: Returning to the topic of easy to turn truss rods. I'm now in possession of Andytre's 1975 jazz bass deko neck. The truss rod on that is very firm! I'm tempted to put some penetrating oil down there to see if it changes anything.

I'm comparing the neck to the neck on my PJ5-HTR. They appear to be made out of exactly the same wood, maple with not the most attractive of grain. The JB neck is even more lightly finished than the PJ. The JB has binding while the PJ doesn't. The nut on the JB neck is loose, and I removed it. As many people have advised for attaching nuts, it was only held by what looks like a single blob of glue in the middle. I must admit that the JB nut feels really cheap, and the PJ nut seems to be of a better quality. However, that's just me guessing It could be that the harder feeling plastic of the JB nut is actually a better material for the job.

Off to the repairs and technical forum to ask more questions.

PS: Thanks Andytre!

Thanks for the tip KB. And thanks again Andy.

I'm now thinking that I'll try and fret dress the neck as practice, then I will defret it. If the defret appears to be successful, then I'll be after a deko jazz bass to put it in :)

I think that the black 1975 bass with the maple neck does look rather nice.
