Saw JTQ a number of years ago at The Arches in Glasgow where they played this and the Starsky and Hutch theme as well, brilliant night.
Also check out the album Supernatural featuring Noel McCoy on vocals, not listened to for a long time, I'm gonna have to dig that out later.

Haven't heard that in a while!
That was my take on Carol Kaye who's on the original Lalo Schiffrin version.
We actually recorded it as a performance in the studio and it was quite a blow!

Hey - you must be Gary Crockett - you, sir are a superb player.
I went through a big JTQ phase circa 1994 and saw you several times.

You may not remember, but I think I scared the sh*t out of you once.....

I was very drunk at a JTQ gig at Leicester DeMontford, and thoroughly enjoying the gig. I was amazed how a bass player who looked so young could be so damned good. Afterwards, I was lingering at the stage when a chap asked me if I was Security (being a heavily built 6foot, shaved head and pierced nose). I said no, so he suggested we go backstage. We entered the JTQ dressing room and I made a drunken beeline for you to enquire your age to satisfy my curoisity.
The sight of an intimidating thug approaching and asking bluntly how old you were, you could be forgiven for thinking that a bouncer was about to throw out. You looked scared shitless, but eventually politely answered my questions.
Sorry about that, and thanks for the can of Stella and the orange.

Oh my! "Gary Crockett on bass!" That solo you take on the live version of Yo-Yo is still one of the best I've ever heard. Both melodic AND thunderous. Plus it keeps everyone dancing! (I too saw you live with JTQ many times, best live band in the country then in my opinion)
Bravo, great playing sir :)
I must check out your post JTQ music immediately!
(I'm a bit slow keeping up with things to be fair ;))
