Me playing my 1978 Shergold Marathon in 1981 (after losing 2 stone from a trip to Syria and a serious dose of shiny shiites) and latterly this year at a local blues jam. Note the respray! I could not live with the crazy paving of the natural blond any longer. Eagle eyes may also notice I gave it a wrist chamfer to avoid shutting off blood supply to the hand.

It's obviously Jean Claude Van damme

Lol not quite... it's Mike Visceglia, having just come off stage after Suzanne Vega's return to Brum on the extended "Solitude Standing" tour. Unfortunately a serious mismatch between artist and venue, the only gig I ever smuggled a camera into lol. The mate I went with (who took that pic) was an amateur bassist at the time and Mr V was very happy to spend a few minutes chatting.... I also met Ms Vega herself after the earlier Birmingham gig at the Odeon, when I just totally lost my tongue and stuck my programme and ticket under her nose to sign and all but ran off!
