Basses owned ( is one you want amongst these? )

1980 - 1984 Satellite Jazz Copy (its what I could afford as a 13 year old from my paper round - saved for ages £85. My dad got an amp kit from Maplins and built the speaker cab which housed a whizzer cone. I got a Boss Phaser for my 14th birthday.

1984 - now Rickenbacker 4001 Jetglow paid £275 from Bassmate in wapping (later to become the bass centre). I love this bass.

1987 - 1989 Gibson violin bass with a pogo stick. £450 Andy's Guitars Denmark st. I liked the idea of it but sound was poor.

1996 - now Wilhelm Eberle double bass. Didn't know anything about double basses when I bought it. Had some work done getting it the way I want. Like it.

2005 - 2007 Warwick Streamer Jazz fretless 5 string. Not my thing but worth a try.

2006 - 2006 Fender P bass 1973. Had to sell it because I needed the money to feed my family.

My basses through the times:

Hofner - Old bass I found in the closet! Belonged to my father, got me on to playing!
Warwick Nobby Meidel- Headless, never practised so much on a instrument as on this one.
Fender Presicion Fretless( Without the presicion pickup, drilled a hole near the bridge, and placed an active EMG jazz pickup there, sounded great!)
Carvin 5 string- Don`t remember witch model.
Warwick Fortress 5
Modulus jazz fretless, another great fretless, miss this one!
Yamaha TRB6: Fusion dot com ;-)
Fender Marcus Miller model.
Ibanez GWB 5 string fretless: O my god what a sound, too bad I didn`t have the time to practise this one enough:-(
Fender Jazz bass 64 Custom Shop Relic- This is my main bass, really happy with this one!

Been meaning to add to this thread for while, if i can remember the basses ive had in the last 19 years, heres my list roughly in order

1- short scale no name 6o,s bass -(bought on my 16th birthday for £30, i was robbed)
2- Vantage bass -(paid £20 and it had a dimarzio p bass pickup)
3 - 1980 Ibanez musician -( neck through, nice woods, bloody heavy)
4 - Hohner PJ fretless- (my first fretless it was bloody awful)
5 - 1982 Squire jazz- olympic White- ( i still have this, although its been slightly modded, will have it forever)
6 - Howard Satterly custom Jazz ( the bass doc made it for me, ash body, birdseye maple neck w/ebony fretboard, seymour
duncans, badass, it eventually ended up fretless)
7 - Yamaha BBN5 - ( my first 5 string, nice bass and not very much money)
8 - Yamaha Nathan east sig 5 - ( quickly upgraded to this, Aqua blue,AAAAA quilted top, great bass had to sell it when i was
skint, not a nice time, looked better than it sounded though)
9 - Warwick Streamer Lx 4 -( My first warwick, emerald green, older one with wenge neck, fantastic bass, sold it on really
regret it, My favourite bass TBH)
10 - Warwick Streamer Jazzman 5 - ( Great bass, burgundy red, musicman/jazz pickups very versatile, recently moved this
on time will tell if ive made a mistake)
11 - 1990 Warwick Streamer stage 1- ( refinished in trans red, lovely looking bass, played great, really didnt like the tone at
all, sold my green one to get this, BIG MISTAKE!!!!!)
12 - Musicman Sterling - ( Traded the red warwick, for this Cherry burst with a nordstrand pickup, simply amazing bass, i
really miss it)
13 - NS WAV 4 EUB - (Amber burst, my first EUB dead easy to play and sounded great, wasnt using it as ive no patience to
get to grips with fretless, a recurring theme!!!)
14 - CIJ Fender 62 RI precision - (Fiesta red, lovely bass with flats very thumpy, had to go coz im skint :) )
15 - MIA Fender Fretless jazz - (3 tone sunburst, nice bass still not sure if fretless is for me though)
16 - Ken Smith BSR5 MW - (My latest baby, fantastic bass, not the most versatile sound though, but what a sound, hope i dont have to sell it)

17- Spector NSCR5 with East Pre
18- Washburn AB10 Acoustic Bass Guitar
19- Stagg EUB
20-Squire VM Precision 5
21-Samick artist Acoustic Bass Guitar
22- 83 Tokai fretless jazz
23- Musicman stingray 5HH

Well there you go, in 19 years of playing ive not really had that many basses, i was a pro for a long time and tended to stay with certain basses for a while though as they suited the job i was doing at the time, interesting to see tastes change over the years.
Keep the lists coming, really interesting reading - lee
