I know these threads quite often go unread, or at least uncommented on, but I just thought I'd share this new track with you lot!

After my move I've just joined the band, but it's all still very early in their time as a band too, and this is the first track we've recorded since I've joined. It's a big change from my last band, Dresden, and I'm finding it a lot of fun!

Have a listen, feel free to comment -

That's fine, thanks for commenting!

I have no clue about recording, I've tried a few times, to no avail, so we just go in the studio with people.

Personally, I'm happy with the result, but maybe I'd notice a difference if it was improved in the ways you mention? I dunno :)

Good evening, Wooks79 (or may I call you Wooks..?)...

Not an expert on this style, but just to reassure you that there are those that listen here.
A fine performance, I felt, from all participants. More than credible playing, and convincing vocals. One could even listen to the lyrics, quite a feat in this genre..! My tastes and experience prevent me from comment on the bass playing; not that it's at all bad, quite the opposite, but I have no reference points (maybe NIN..?). No criticism there, anyway. The guitars are fulfilling their role perfectly. I liked the change in harmony for the last refrain, nicely inspired. Excellent drum sound, solidly played, without too much cymbal (or maybe my old hearing prevents their capture..?).
Good work, you may (all...) be proud of the result; I hope you can portray just as much energy on stage, in which case the show will be stellar.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much, I'm happy as that's the second time I've had NIN mentioned in context to my basslines. I don't see it, but I have always been a fan, so maybe it's crept in there!

The first was on a track by my previous band -

Quite definite 'family traits' in there, aided by the general arrangement having a certain 'first cousin' relationship. No bad thing, imho...

We released a video for the track yesterday -

Good timing as we had just that morning been informed we had won an award in the "Rock The House" competition, and have been given a slot in a pretty hefty festival in 2015!! We have to go to the House of Commons to attend the award show on tues.

Yesterday was a good day!

And what's in the case?

Thanks very much for watching :)

I could be all secretive and tell you it's a mystery, but I'm sure you can guess it's just a really bright camera light :D
