Just pimped up my new (old) Retrovibe RV4 (mainly to cover a ding), but I think it looks pretty cool in a showy-off sort of way. So lets start a thread. Everyone remember to keep Ric-looking headstocks out of the pics.

That looks dead cool. Did you stripe the headstock too?

I didn't in the end. Had a good think about it but there didn't seem room to do it easily to be honest. And, of course, I'm not allowed to show the headstock here or we'll all go to prison.

I've changed the switch and put Black screws in since this was taken. I was going to change the Pick ups but the stock ones are beasts. Love the stripes on yours.

Those bridges have a very MM SUB look about them.

I really like the look of these basses, particularly the challenging, "Sue if you think you're hard enough." vibe.

The bridge isn't as 'substantial' as a MM Sub...but it does the job. These basses are easy on the back too. I gig mine no problem

Are pictures of Retrovibes allowed on the forum now?

I think the rule is that if you're selling, then anything that ain't a real Ric is a no no.

If you're not selling it, then Mr Hall can look but not touch

I thought it was that anything labeled Rickenbacker but was a copy, wasn't permitted?
Rules may changed since I last sold on here :-/

Maybe we should all start sending individual emails to Mr. Hall asking for clarification as to what he finds acceptable or not (not mentioning basschat, but just as a "I have this bass and was thinking about selling it on eBay but I heard that it may be a problem because... etc etc"). Take up their time. :P
