FS/FT: Crate BT220 Combo - 220 watts and only £100!
£100

Recommended Posts

Got this in a trade last week, and whilst it's a great combo, I don't need it right now and could do with the space.

It's loud (220 watt 15" speaker), and feature packed: - twin channel (one clean, one distortion), built in tuner, sub-octaver effect, head phone socket, phono inputs etc etc.

I'm told that this one has been sitting (unused) in a cupboard in a band manager's office for the last 2 years, and it certainly looks like it's had very little use. Very good condition, one small (around an inch) patch of the furry covering is showing through at the back. Other than that, it's pretty much immaculate.

I had a play last night, and it seems like a nice combo - good range of sounds, useable EQ, and the tuner and built in distortion and octaver are nice toys. Review of it here: - http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/bass_amplifiers/crate/bt220/index.html
And the manual can be found here: - http://www.crateamps...ls/BT220_OM.pdf

P bass shown to give an idea of the size of the combo (24.5" x 24.5" x 16.5"). One thing I would say is that it's well built and pretty heavy - the manual says 87 lbs, and it feels like it when you're carrying it! It does have twin side handles, and also holes for castors, but I didn't get any castors with it when I bought it. If I was keeping it, I'd pop straight down to the local hardware store and invest £8 in 4 castors to save my old back, but you may be stronger / fitter / younger than me, so it may not be a problem.

Anyway, this owes me £125 on the trade, so how does £100 sound? It'll need to be collected (either j.12 M40 near Gaydon, or from my office in Solihull).

From a trade point of view - I'm pretty much open for anything, so try me with what you've got!
