*** SOLD *** SWR SM500 (Price reduced) £475.00
£575

Recommended Posts

One SWR SM500 amp - I have had this since new circa 2002 I think. Always been flightcased hence immaculate.

Never ever let me down (unlike certain other amps I own)

Until recently these were up for sale on BassDirect for £1700.00 or so!

Beautiful amp, great sound, nice growl if you need it, compressor/limiter, aural enhancer etc.

[s]£575.00[/s] £475.00 plus postage. NO TRADES

More detailed pics to follow

Please note - flightcase and tuner not for sale. (Actually I may sell the flightcase but it is an as new 6 months old Flightcase warehouse £120.00 so can't "throw" that into the deal I am afraid)

Here's the spec from the SWR website:

SWR SM-500 Head

This is where it all started! The SM-500 is a direct descendant of the original SWR amplifier, the world-famous SM-400. Often copied but never matched, the SM-500 features the original SWR tube preamp and a four-band graphic/semi-parametric EQ so that your best tone can be dialed in - regardless of the playing situation.

Over the years SWR have added features like a side-chain effects loop, a stereo master volume control and transparency (for the crystalline highs), but this is essentially the same amplifier that started a revolution in bass amplification back in the early 1980s - and nothing else sounds quite like it!

OK I really need to sell this gorgeous SWR and my MarkBass STD 102HF cab now to fund a MarkBass CMD 102P combo!

I'll add the MB 102HF as a separate post this afternoon.

If anyone out there wants to trade their MarkBass CMD 102P for a separates rig SWR SM500 and a MarkBass STD 102HF cab, let me know!

BUMP!!!

Hi there - I'd need to look into costs for you plus work out what I can put it in to protect it in transit for you.

I'll report back tomorrow :0)
