Matamp 1224 mk2 50w head
I cant really believe I’m parting with this amp! It sounds INCREDIBLE! the most versatile tube amp on the market. Amazingly well constructed, hand wired, solid as a rock.
Front panel has two inputs (high and low) ‘voice’ switch this is footswitchable and allows you to incrementally dial out some lows and low mids, can be used as a boost or lead/ rhythm switch. Gain, crunch gain (footswitchable). Best tube reverb ever (think peter green playing ‘albatross’ - that was a matamp!) the reverb is also switchable. Bass, mid treble, presence and master volume. EQ is incredibly responsive - lots of very musical sounds. Mid boost and 2x12 4x12 switch (subtle eq shift). Also has an FX loop. Cathode (self)biasing, can be used with any octal power tubes (el34,6l6,kt88 etc) or a combination, currently running two svetlana winged C el34 and two tung sol 6l6. Choice of class A or AB, choice of one or two or 4 power tubes running. half power switch and pentode/triode switch. Fitted with JJ preamp tubes, currently running a Mullard ecc83 in V1 - could possibly be included! Comes with footswitch and a padded ‘clam’ zip up case and FX loop cable.

£1000
