Hi Basschat lot !!!

Wondering why I haven't found you before.
My name is Steve, and I've been a Bass player for bloody years, Nice to find a like minded lot :)

Rig wise, currently I'm using a SWR modded Stella into a crossover into a Boogie Strategy 400. Lo's go to a SWR 15, and Hi's go to a SWR 2x10,
or,
SWR Super Redhead (pre Fender),
or,
Boogie Bass 400+ into SWR 6x10. Well nice too !!

Basses, well, 62 re-issue Jazz ( 1982), 81 Antigua Precision, G&L L2500, G&L L2000, Wal 5 String Mk2 (1990), 76' Carl Thompson, Custom Jazz fretless, and a L2500 build thats currently in progress - 3 EMG MM pups, Badass 5 bridge with some custom wiring and switching by myself ;)

Really great to meet y'all, and hope I can help out someday !!!

Regards,
Steve

Hi Steve,

Welcome! You're yet another one from South Wales. There's heaps and heaps there. That's OK of course, but don't you lowender lot realise that Cornwall and Devon and the rest actually exist, and are even lower? Hm, maybe for low Bs only.

Anyway, enjoy the banter, and teach us noobs some!

Hwyl,
Bert

HA ! I wish !!
I left myself totally open for that ;)

There's loads on here from South Wales 'Eh ?
I think it was down to the overload of friggin' widdly guitarists taking over the country back in the late 80's early 90's.
The south wales valleys were a little known sanctuary from all of this ;)
many fell by the wayside, but many stayed......... ;)

Cheers fellas, looking forward to getting into the forum :)

Hi Steve,

It's Gary from Maesteg. How's it going, haven't seen you since the "Herb" days.
Still playing, for my sins and still doing the occasional gig with Brett!!!
Love the band, and intrigued by your Lazy Lizard boxes.

Drop me a pm with a number, it'll be good to catch up.

Cheers.

Gary.

Cool. I was expecting you to say Game, that's what most locals say. I'm a Course man myself but I do occasionally fish off the shore and am hoping to concentrate on it more this year. Planning on buying an inflatable fishing dinghy too, something we can explore the coast in and use as a base for snorkelling.

King, loving the sound of the inflatable ! Been toying with the idea of getting a kayak for lure fishing...... Mmmmmm
Love the dynamics of fishing on an open sea ;)

Chillie, playing up your neck of the woods on Sunday, Elliot's bar I think. Short notice gig.
Gonna be an interesting one as we haven't rehearsed for weeks !!!
