x_Morning_Star_x Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 I'm interested to know what people think of Gallien Krueger cabs, i have a GK 2001RB head so would like to have a matching cab but ive never used them, how do they rate over other cabs people have played? ideally i'd love to have a big powerhouse cab or Barefaced cab but i just cant afford one of those right now! :-D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Urban Bassman Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 I would say go for it! I used to have a 700RB II and an RBH410. Couldn't fault the sound in anyway. The cab is very heavy so the NEO loaded cabs might be better if you value your back! I've used Trace Elliot, TC and Mark Bass amps and cabs since and the GK was easily as good IMO. hamfist Posted January 30, 2013 Share Posted January 30, 2013 The GK neo series are outstanding cabs. The cheaper MBE cabs are "OK" but are certainly built down to a price. ie/ cheaper, harsher piezo tweeter, more "boomy" and tend to fart out earlier. So take your pick, according to your budget. My main cab is a GK neo 212 II, which is outstanding, and is comfortably able to handle a loud pub gig with no FoH support. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They are stackable in a few different arrangements too - I generally have them stacked upright, a vertical 4x10.
