bigevilman Posted November 17, 2012 Share Posted November 17, 2012 Hey Guys Just purchased a Lakland 55-01 to complement my Spector Legend Custom 5, and its such a nice bass . Lovely neck - didn't know if I would like it as I was so used to the thinner Spector neck, but gigged it last night - so easy! I'm now considering upgrading the preamp inside it. The current one (bartolini mk1 preamp i believe) does make a bit of noise, but not massive amounts, but seeing as I have my first coming in March, best be treating myself now before all the gig money goes on nappies! Anyone got any suggestions? I currently play in a couple of rock cover bands, so it'd be nice to have something can produce a bit of bite!
