Aren't those Zilla cabs all guitar specific?
At least the ones online anyway...
I like the look of them though, and if they would do a bass cab, they represent very good value for money!

Yes, Zilla specialise in guitar cabs only, although you can get specific minor changes to help that low end (EG 18mm Ply instead of 15 etc) but with all the hype surrounding them I thought I'd see if anyone had checked them out.

Also... Barefaced 1x12 vs Vanderkley 112EXT ... thoughts?

The Barefaced and Vanderkley cabs get a great write up, but they're also quite pricey, particularly the Vanderkley.
If you want a vintage styled 2x12, you could maybe try Matamp, they seem to do very reasonably priced cabs and will probably get a you similar look to the Zillas.

Never heard of them to be honest dude!

Food for thought here, you could get a really awesome used bass cab from the For Sale section on here for £400! Many are like new, and most of them go for about half the retail price ;)

This is good advice, if you're not quite sure what you want and you can't get the chance to try lots of options, I'd consider trying out some second hand options first, you can get a lot more for your money for sure that way :)

Thanks for the helpful advice! I'm more trying to go for lightweight 1x12's I think , which is why I'm now drawn to the Vanderkely and Barefaced. I'm quite happy spending that bit more money on this purchase, but obviously saving money is always good!
I'm about 5 minutes away from Bass Direct, so trying out gear isn't really a problem... It's just finding the right one. At the moment I'm pretty set on the Barefaced Midget... Can anyone recommend anything?

Bass Direct is going to be a great place to start.
You won't find a Barefaced there, but you'll be able to try most of the main players in the lightweight 1x12 market for sure!
I'm intrigued by the GK 1x12 NEO offerrings, very good vale for money.
The Vanderkley ones are apparently insanely good, but man alive they're pricey too...

I used to have an Aggie GS112, which I though was fantastic, but not really considered lightweight by today's standards, 2 of those together sounded SO bloody good though and they're built to last.

Barefaced midget is an excellent cab, for the money it out performs a lot of other cabs that are more expensive. 9 kgs and it has excellent bass responce for something so small.

Only other thing I can suggest is getting 2 markbass 1x12 clubs. They are pretty darn small and light weight, sound pretty good, and you can tilt the top one back to better hear yourself on small stages.

Depend son your own personal needs mate.

What works best for one person maybe totally different to what might work for you.

I never thought that two vertical 2x10's wouold work for me but on the gig the sound is magical.
