Absolutely love these guys too, so proud to say that i was part of the crowd doing BV's on that album (In studio only, not the video). Solo is at 3:30, some solid bass playing from Rory as well.

The guitar solo on Lyle Lovett's North Dakota (starts about 3:29 in to the song). Simple but possibly the most hauntingly beautiful thing I've ever heard.

I suppose I could post any number of Bill Nelson guitar solos that would highlight his sheer genius but this has to be my favourite of all time.
Starts at 1.49 and doesn't last nearly long enough. :)

If you're going to play one note, make it count, every bit of it.

Another classic, this time from the 80s. And only 1 hand on the fingerboard.

+1 for cold sweat. Have to be really obvious and say "Stairway to Heaven", hits my spine and makes it shake.

Six string bliss! :)

Due to vinyl limitations, sadly this gem never made it onto UFO's Strangers In the Night album.

Good calls on Ghost of a Chance and Firth of Fifth! Try these two for size...

From about 2:30 onwards. Not complex, but so tasty you could eat it with a side of fries...

This is just pure class...

Has to be Mick Ronson's solo from Bowies's Teenage Daydream. Shows it's not the notes you play but how you play them. The solo starts at 3.10

Often viewed as the clown of punk, Captain Sensible IMO is quite a guitar maestro.
