Chris2112 Posted June 10, 2012 Share Posted June 10, 2012 Of all the Blaster basses this one looks like the best copy. The picture that usually surfaces of the one with the two piece bridge is dire! I do love Kubicki basses but having paid £600 for my first one (a 1989 18V in white) I wouldn't want to pay loads for one of these. I've had two 1989 18V Kubickis in the past and I have loved them. I might get another one some day! I used to email Phil now and then, I should really have asked him for the full story on these basses. last I heard he had left California and was semi-retired but that was some time ago so he may have retired properly now. The picture that usually surfaces of the one with the two piece bridge is dire![/quote] You're confusing the "Fixer" copy which was made in Korea, using parts similar to those developed by Matsumoku for the Washburn Bantam, with the Blaster, which was an officially licensed design from Kubicki.
