Can someone give me any info on the best and EASIEST place to order a non export CIJ Fender... i have been saving for a new bass which was going to be a Nordstrand but im out of patience and the CIJ non import Fenders are killer...., so i think this is maybe where my money is going.... i would prefer brand new but isnt there a place where they are second hand... im after the JB75 US with matching headstock.....

im aware of a couple of internet dealers but would like any new suggestions... isnt it Far East guitars and another company i cant remember

I have only ever heard positive things about ishibashi but you need to wait for something to pop in their U-box as I believe they dont ship new stuff to the uk link: http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/u_box/e/

Hold on a minute didn't you have one of these not too long ago? A surf green one if I recall.....

Not sure if this guy is still operating? Some nice basses but not cheap http://www.guitaremporium.co.uk/index.php?f=data_fender_japan_new_guitars&a=3

Hi there,

I've got a non-export CIJ 75 Jazz, which I got from John at Far East (the one in my avatar). It's a great bass, but I'm ultimately realising that I prefer a rosewood board, so am a.) looking to get one direct from Ishibashi - and they seem to be able to sell direct rather that just through the U-box, and b.) will be looking to sell my current one. If you are interested, drop me a PM. Either way, I can say that they are fantastic basses!

Cheers.

This guy always has a few http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Japan-Vintage-66-Reissue-Jazz-Bass-JB66B-/260907348930?pt=Guitar&hash=item3cbf4a33c2

Not great comms when I dealt with him though. Although not terrible either.

I'm looking at getting another 75 re-issue (Old Lake Placid Blue, rosewood board - like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fender-Japan-75-Reissue-Jazz-Bass-JB75US-FC-/260907348919?pt=Guitar&hash=item3cbf4a33b7), and did consider going with this guy, but Ishibashi were quoting a cheaper price and less for shipping.

 • 1 month later...

i'm pretty sure all of ishibashi's instruments are used, (although they are all in great shape), don't quote me on this though. you also have to pay the postage listed, as well as import tax. There are plenty of sites around that let you calculate how much this will be.
