top three most recent - covers and a bit of cheating - as a way to get my head round Cubase 7 and EZ Drummer, everything else getting on for ten years old

https://soundcloud.com/the-ghost-repeaters

top four recorded in a 'proper' studio but I asked for the master tracks and remixed & mastered in Cubase 7 in the [s]home studio [/s](sorry, garage), last three recorded in a radio station broadcasting room the size of a shoebox with DJ, 4 people, 3 guitars and a snare and one......microphone. duh.

Good evening.

Here is the link to our stuff we have just put up on Soundcloud. We recorded, wrote (the vast majority, 2 covers), recorded, mixed and mastered it all ourselves. We have had great fun doing it and are now writing for the next batch.

www.soundcloud.com/sulasula-1

For my bass recording, most of the songs were D.I. From my Genz Streamliner 600. Three were right to the desk from my bass. A G&L L2000. There are three guitars and drums. We messed up the drums, especially the snare, but it is the first time we have done it so they aren't too shabby.

Most importantly we have had a blast doing it and it has got us out of the house on a Tuesday night, to Paul's Halls in Cumbernauld where we rehearse. Now looking to do a gig in July before baby number 2 arrives.

Anyway, please listen and enjoy our tunes if you are into our style.

Cherry bye

Ok :) but you might not like what Im about to say so buckle up; The music is superb, what a great energy, exploding rebellious, nice intros also! ... and then comes that voice  I mean a very fine voice, the singer sure can sing BUT not for this style of music your band is playing :) He has a voice for softer romantic rock songs. Man I honestly wish you had a stronger voice in this great sounding record (this is only one tiny personal view others might think otherwise).
I think it is your singer's romantic personality which comes out into the songs and that is great that he can express himself as he is and I don't think he should try and force him self sound tougher/stronger that would be faking and such would sound unnatural).

To be honest I actually thought to re-write my reply above thinking it might offend you :) but then left it because that's how I indeed see this record. Music is all about personal tastes and one can not please everyone :) Yes I did enjoy the music part a lot! Keep on rocking!

I am impressed. A bit heavier than I usually like but it all ties in sweetly. Singers voice is not an issue for me, I would say it is a strength. He has great range. How did you record your bass? I am slightly jealous of the tone you have managed to put down there. Mine is s few threads up, and the bass on yours comes through with real authority. We mixed and mastered ours as well but sometimes my bass seems to get a bit lost in the mix. Your playing is a real stand out too. Well done.

Hello Basschatting Soundclouders. Keep up the good work - love listening to your tunes :-)

Here is a little ditty that i've been working on which features my sketchy guitar playing for the first time. Apologies to proper guitarists.

Disco music makes me smile and there were some great tracks back in the day. i found a nice vocal track on a sample CD which i thought would be ideal to write a disco groove underneath. Unfortunatley Cubase keeps crashing so i've done a quick export in case the project becomes unworkable.

Thank you

Hi guys, some really interesting music here!

Here's a link to my soundcloud, all my music is played on a Chapman Stick - half bass, half guitar! I love DEEP bass lines though! Hope you like!!

My virtual band's soundcloud page, Flirt With Danger

Mostly originals with a few covers thrown in, yesterday I exhausted the upload allocation with a free account and had to go Pro.

Last couple of songs have my new Ricky on them, the year before my Squier VM J, and before that various sampled basses played on keyboards.
