Hi
My rig is yamaha bb414 - sansamp bdi - crate powerblock - 4x10 laney i believe from 80' with FANE 50w speakers
I joined indie band, in practice room there is 1x15 i think 150w Carlsbro combo which i am using with sansamp.
we will star playing some gigs soon (probably pubs etc.)
I was thinking about changing the power block for something else like Peavey Mark or something similar ( mag300, hartke3500 etc)
was thinking about changing the cab for some cheap 2x10 because i don't have a car (however guitarist has)
any thoughts ??
I know the best would be SVT + 8x10 but I don't have car plus enough cash.
cheers

Hi there, the MAG 300 is a great buy and would suit indie perfectly, however if you could stretch that little bit more you could get this thats on a special deal seems a really good price.

I've got a Hartke 3500 for sale if you're interested? I used it for years in my Indie band but now I've switched to Markbass, it's surplus to requirements.

I'd be a bit wary of using a single 210 with a full band though, especially if you're used to a 410 or a 1x15 in rehearsal as you may find yourself struggling to be heard over the drummer. There are 210s that will cope but they won't be cheap.

If you're a bit handy with a saw, you could do an awful lot worse that buying some Omni 10 plans from Bill fitzmaurice (www.billfitzmaurice.com) and building your own.

There's an Ashdown MAG600 head on ebay just now, I think it's been relisted, I've definitely looked at it before. I quite fancy it actually, I've used the 300 before and it was really nice.
