AAWWW MAN!!!
I forgot how cool , the pointy headed basses were, when i was 13 i had pictures of Kramers and jacksons all over my wall, time for a comeback i think, ( id love to turn up for a jazz gig with one ha ha) Kip wingers jackson is lovely by the way i was a big fan back in the day- LEE

:)
Firstly, Michael Manring is just a fantastic player. Amazing how all the changes in tuning do not detract from the music of the piece.

Can I have the bass version of Phil Collen's original archtop Jackson PC1 ??

They did make one for Dusty Hill of ZZ Top, but I can't find a pic anywhere..
Michael Manrings Zon Hyperbass because it is the ultimate fretless for me. Just listen to 'The enormous room'....beautiful.
I couldn't agree more, I've been listening to him since his first album and he just gets better although some of his tunes do sound a little recycled at times. That bass is a bit of a handful with all those tunings, I can't begin to imagine the kind of musical skill he has to pull off using those tunings live.

I've got all the basses I've seriously lusted after but I do like the look of the Fodera Beez Elite - another maker could have produced this instrument and I would still say I like the shape. However I have absolutely no need for one at all.

I think I'd have to prise it from Danny's dead, cold hands first....
Superb track/playing/voice. I'm not familiar with either of their work but that was... tingling.

Fat Mike's Danelectro DC:

Looks great, lightweight, great fat punk pick tone.

Cass Lewis' Musicman Cutlass:

Skunk Anansie - I can dream

Again, looks great, has mojo, exclusivity, and a great rock fingers sound.

We should do a 'Which BC'ers bass do you want and why' thread! Well my choice would have to be either Kiwi's Smith 5 and matching fretless (nice to have a pair, dontcha' think?) or the best thumb bass I have played owned by Trev (G77). I might also have whatever bass Lukeward2000 is brutalising currently (I lose track) so I could beat him with it

That Manring's Zon bass sounded very good, especially open strings, but I'd Love to own Chris Squire's Rickenbacker. The very one that he played on The Yes Album. Then I'd listen to Yours Is No Disgrace all day while holding that ¤#"&"#"! bass on my lap

I'm sure Danny would still put up a good fight even if he was dead!!

Quality quality player- him and John were born to play together.
