well for me its a digitech bass whammy, that aint happening at the prices they are reaching :)

and I really REALLY wish I had not seen this > http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_sp...sts/WalMK2.html and then read this bit "Please contact the shop to pay by VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO, SWITCH, Paypal, Bank Transfer"

I could bang this on a CC, but I am pretty certain that divorce and/or castration would closely follow the delivery! :)

I would also like a Boss TU3,GT2,Guyatone flip temolo, GK head............................

In reality, I could stretch to a pack of plectrums!

I'm not desperate for anything but this is what I would like in this order.

1. Fender MIA Jazz Olympic White with Rosewood board

2. Genz Benz Shuttle 9

3. NS Design NXT

4. Warwick Streamer

Don't want much do I :):)
No GAS whatsoever anymore. I'm selling my Fender Jazz, or trying to,
It doesn't bother me much anymore though, I don't really care.

Who wouldn't have GAS for this :) :)

Hi Silddx
You're not selling the jazz - that's the one you posted with the East pre-amp. That sounded gorgeous. You were so excited about that bass - why sell ?
I appreciate circumstances at moment are difficult to say the least and i can only sympathise with you.
Perhaps waiting would be better idea until things settle a bit before selling anything. ?

Give it some more thought before diving in friend. Please !

GAS :- WAL custom Mk1, Shergold (maybe a twin neck), Overwater 4 & 6 string fretted, Overwater jazz, Gibson Grabber.

Cheers
Dave

Currently GASSing for nothing right now, waiting for a 24v EHX Bass Micro Synth and an active looper pedal to arrive in the post which will complete the board (well, not quite...), but honestly, since I bought my Blade B15 I've never thought of selling it, not even once. 3 years with the same bass and I still love it. Ordered some flats this week too so should be even better when they arrive.
Both my amps are US made Ampegs that sound great, so more than happy on that front. For the first time in years I'm content, nay happy, with my sound and setup.

It feels a bit weird TBH. :)

Yip, I am selling it. It's gorgeous and I had that itch that would not go away until I'd bought a great Jazz. I do love it, but going from 24 frets to 20 freaked me a little bit. I do things that require 24 frets, and I have other priorities now. My Electra home build serves me wonderfully well, but the Jazz's neck is the nicest I've ever played, I had to have it! But I just bought a new Mac and I need recording gear. You're right though, I could hang onto it, I can probably afford to. But I have no pressing need to keep it, and Clarky now has the J-Retro that I'd put in it. I appreciate your thoughts on the matter though, Dave :)

I'm not sure if it's GAS, but i've a hankering for a 2x10" TC RS cab.
I've got the 2x12" and i really want the 2nd cab to go with it.
I don't NEED the 2nd cab, but i do NEED it (in my mind there is a difference!).

Also, the head I have is more than perfect for both cabs, but i want to sell it and get the TC head to go with the cabs, that part is GAS though.
I'm desperately trying to fight it, but I fancy a PJ.

Ideally this:

But I quite like the idea of a custom build...

That said, I have no money so unless I sell something it's a moot point.
Yep, that's the one

Always on the lookout. At the moment I'm hankering after :

fender 75 reissue jazz (must have matching headstock really)
peavey t40
jazz from my year of birth 1973. Not sunburst or natural.

I think that's about it but I'm always suceptible to seeing something nice that's not on 'the list'

edited to add, at the moment I have cash but can't find what I want. When I have no cash there are loads of them!

Looking for a new home for mine - lovely bass but just too heavy for me. If you're interested, there are some pics & stuff here - drop me a PM. :)

On-topic, I think I'm finally all outta GAS right now, really comfortable with my Washburn SB40 as my main bass at the moment, and love my GK/Hartke rig. It's a good position to be in, but it never lasts...

Jon.

 • 4 years later...

Zombie thread alert!

My GAS list is currently quite short.

1. YOB Jazz

2. Ibanez SRF705

3. Wal 5 string -- yup, I like Wals. Deal with it ;)

1 and 3 are total pipe dreams for the foreseeable. :( I might consider a L*m*l*ght facsimile of 1 as an interim measure. Maybe.

Got a few basses on my mind so I thought I'd see what everyone's current GAS status is. Simply list the basses you're currently fancying :)

Gibson RD Artist (1979 onwards with two mini toggles for the Moog rather than a single 3 way) - financial pipedream at the moment
Yamaha BB (active/passive like a BB1100s or a BB614 with a replacement preamp - probably can't afford one of the posher thru neck jobs)
If a Gibson Ripper came along at a knockdown price (a cosmetic restore job maybe like my Victory?) then I'd take it.

And anything else that makes me go "ooh, that's interesting" ;)
Ha, this thread resurrection has given me the opportunity to review progress:

1) post 1979 RD - check
2) Yamaha BB - had a BB614, BB300, BB450 and still have a BB350F
3) Ripper restoration - check.

I am a man of my word! :)
