simon1964 Posted March 20, 2011 Share Posted March 20, 2011 (edited) That looks genuine to me, although I suspect its a 77 or 78 from the serial number. Generally S8.... numbers (like this one) date to 77-78. S9 serial number would be 79-81. Although that's always approximate with late 70s Fenders. Either way, it looks a nice bass.
