Mine's an "83 Fullerton Factory '62 Jazz Reissue with stacked pots. As you can see its very well played in and has a great feel to it, and great sound too.

Fullerton History: (from a Fullerton Strat ad)

1982 fullerton factory fender '62 reissue stratocaster. serial #V000410, making it one of the earliest known fullerton factory pieces. neck dates to '82 although a little faded because of the pencil numbering, confirming this. for those less familiar with the fullerton factory, it was fender's first return to the pre-cbs leo fender era of making guitars. these are known as some of the best instrument fender produced since '64. built on the pre-cbs machines to vintage spec by master technicians, these instruments play like butter and sound as close as you'll get to a legitimate pre-cbs fender. not to mention, this neck is stamped "J. Torres", one of the most famous fender neck builders ever. just google "j torres fender" and see what people have to say about the quality of his necks.

Here's my two:-

Lovely Geddy Lee Jazz with the recently fitted Hipshot HB2's.

Mexican Jazz V in a glorious blue which my pics don't really do justice to. Nicely grained Pau Ferro fingerboard too which is no longer available on this model.

Both great basses which I am very pleased to own.

I constructed this from some secondhand and some new bits and put a naughty Fender decal on it. Yellow sparkle body was £26 from ebay. No idea what it is really. All in all it came in at just under £300 and means I have the confidence to fanny around with it all time. Maybe I should play it a bit more. Spent the right money on the SJB2s and electrics from a chap in New York. Here you go.

It's a Fender licensed neck. Likely a Mighty Mite (Im a bit confused as I did a bits-and-pieces Strat at around the same time). It took a bit of careful sanding to get seated but is a good tight fit and was very reasonable price. I went through a stage of constantly searching for the perfect action, adding/removing shims and messing with relief and bridge/saddles. I've got it to something Im very happy with. This all happened 'cos I finished a house refurbishment and suddenly had loads of spare time, wanted a bass but didnt have loads of money. So I won't pretend its the best bass on earth, but for about £300 I reckon its pretty good. I quite fancy doing another one. Precision next time.

This is very nice!

Say hello to my Jon Shuker Jazz 5

Video first - slight volume problem, but I can't be bothered to deal with it until later.

Spanish Joint by D'Angelo - I know that the timing is iffy at the start, due to my inability to lock into the rhythm! There is also some dodgy soloing around 4mins in. Don't judge me, I can't solo :haha:

My MIM Jazz just got treated to some 60's USA reissue tuners. In October I'm going to refinish the neck with a thin layer of nitro (removing the "Jazz Bass" part of the decal...I think it looks crap!). Eventually the pickups will be replaced with some sort of overwound Bareknuckle monsters, and the bridge will be heavier mass...maybe a Badass II.

This Alleva Coppolo LG4 is back in my hands again, after a brief affair with Happy Jack (the bass, not me). The last one of two made fully by hand in the NYC workshop in 2008 (AC moved to California subsequently)

PS, cheers to lozbass, the original BC owner of the bass, for his photos - his lovely sonic blue LG4, pictured further up this thread, was the other of the last two from NYC :)

Ooohh, love this Clarky - never tire of seeing it - just a stunning bass! One of JImmy's finest IMO. Honestly miss it but couldn't justify two!

As per the pic on me intro post:

l - r: "bitsa" Jazz Bass, '62 neck, '63 body & p/pu's, knocked-up electrics, re-ish nickel and chrome, proprietory s/plate; '66 CAR w/matching h/stock, bound neck, dots, paddle tuners, replacement pickguard; '69 all original; '95 Jap fretless....

One I had years ago that I wish I hadn't sold, bought new in this condition from Mimms in Plymouth in 1973 for £179 - well before I knew much about Fender finishes. No-one ever believed it was bought new in this colour, but on learning more from the factory by way of furnishing s/n and photo's I now know it's what's known as a 1971 'employee' finish and have been informed it's the clear yellow from the middle of a three-tone burst. I hope whoever bought it from me wrecked it. Selling it in ignorance is patently one of the most stoopid dumb-arsed things I ever did....

Bill Nash JB63 in Fiesta Red - although the pic dosn't reveal the colour too well. Amazing sounding Jason Loller pick-ups. Only played this once, the (Allparts) neck is a bit chunky and the frets are a bit too high for my liking but rather than mess about with it I'd rather keep it in factory nick and sell it on - anybody....?
