A bona fide USA Peavey, I have found that it's a bit of a poor man's Modulus Flea (and I do mean that a little loosely, don't worry) as it has a middle position Music Man-esque pickup and an active (18V) EQ. Here is an image stolen(!) from TalkBass, but this is a very good starting illustration. It plays deceptively very, very well and I have held onto this for some time.
