re lacquer in essex area? sorted.

I know a lot of the luthiers in the UK out source their colouring/lacquering to companies who do classical instruments/roulette wheels and the like.. If you can't find one near you (sorry I can't help with this) it may be worth calling some of the luthiers (The Gallery,Camden/GB guitars, Brighton) to see if they can help. I think it's quite straight forward but you need to know that whoever you trust with your bass is gunna get it right!

Though not near to you, Sims Custom Shop (based in Ashfort, Kent) is the specialist paint and lacquer shop that many of the top luthiers in UK use:
