Has anyone seen his photography site? Apparently he's one of these slightly autistic creative geniuses. No-one else could have created such an image, so take it easy on poor Tim :)
Tim's obviously not trying hard enough..... I've just bought a bass cab here this very morning! :)
I agree,
i've traded and bought 2 high-end basses here in the last 2 weeks alone
and i've never found any better deals (and nicer people to deal with! :) ) than i have found here on this very forum.

life lesson from Tim...

Sell bass and reasonable price.. opps
Don't complain about the potential buyers, as they won't buy..opps
Don't complain about the site you can sell it on for free.. opps opps
Don't mock the designers, mods etc for help making a great FREE site.. opps

Don't be Tw*t when trying to sell your gear by creating a thread like this.. because people won't buy from you ever..

We checked you profile out.. you don't contribute, you only sell, which is fine, but then don't rant about the site.. CREATE YOUR ON BASS SELLING RANT SITE!!

I felt bad for a 2 seconds about the abuse G receiving, then read the original message again... IN CAPS LOCK!!!

I THINK WE MIGHT SEE THIS BASS ON EBAY SOON..

Weird, you assume somebody who plays a sh1tty emo bass and posts childish rants on a forum when he doesn't get his own way would look like a spotty teenager, not an overweight middle-aged fella.

Only child maybe?

Rslaing?

Having looked at the bass in question, it's OK, I have no idea what it would cost new, but the realistically the market on BC for spooky goth kid basses is inevitably a small one.

I've bought & sold a good few things on BC, never had a bad experience, and met some splendid people. Most importantly I have found that when you are trying to sell an instrument with niche interest (vintage JapCrap in my case) then you need patience, a realistic start price, a willingness to consider reasonable offers and haggle, and to be willing to post to the UK & Europe for a reasonable cost.

I've never actually tried bellowing insults & accusations at my potential customers. Worth a go? :)

Jon.

GEOFIO: I was actually looking at your Schecter a few days ago and thinking it might make a good backup bass for my epi gothic, but now I've read this thread, I'm not parting with good money to someone with your troll attitude.
FYI, Basschat is a brilliant marketplace if you are selling good gear at the right price, and its certainly a lot easier and cheaper than ebay, and you know its going to a good home.

Last time I looked it didn't cost anything to sell anything on BC - in effect it's a 'discretionary' free service. It's a bit churlish to criticise for that reason alone. Half the basses in my current 4 came as a result of BC and I usually use it as my first port of call when I'm on the lookout for something. I didn't sell the last couple of basses I was 'hawking' on here in recent months, s'not a problem, no point in crying into the milk, there's always a reason; lack of money, lack of buyers, 'it's a Musicman (or a SCHECTER)'...........deal with it and move on :)

+1. To Hutton's comment

Quite a few valid points made, but some smack of trolling to me.....

Been on this site quite a while now, and sorry, one or two of the comments on here have been the nastiest I have ever seen on BC.

Poor form :)
It's a shame that this thread is still open. How many people have to have a go, and how often, before enough is enough?
Your question suggests a visceral disappointment and possibly even broad distaste and mistrust of people and society in general. The pack mentality manifested in this thread bringing on feelings of anxiety, perhaps depression or fear of impending doom.

Were you popular at school?

I think this thread has done it's course really. The OP has hopefully realised that BassChat *isn't* a marketplace with a forum tagged on - it's a thriving community of discussion that happens to have an area for selling goods. Coming along and shouting your mouth off (capitals=shouting) about not being able to sell an instrument will not, as has been clearly been seen here, be met with open arms.

If anyone has an issue with how the forum is running, then it's best to PM the Mods or Admins, who will be happy to discuss further.

George, if you spent more time getting involved with the community, it wouldn't take long for you to realise what a great place this is to be. However, If it doesn't suit what you want or need, You are not being forced to stay here - but there's more than 10,000 people who log in to BassChat who do enjoy it!
