MIDI BASS

Thing to bear in mind:

1. Mono only
2. Unless your current playing style is already super-clean and precise and you will need to make adjustments to how you play.
3. Pitch to MIDI conversion requires at least 1 cycle of the waveform (and more on the cheaper convertors) to work out the pitch of the note you are playing. That means to lower the note, the longer the delay between the bass guitar sound and the triggered synth sound.

I haven't used this particular device, but my experience of other pitch to MIDI systems is that they are fine for getting a performance into a sequencer which you can then clean up by removing all the false triggered notes and adjust for pitch conversion delay. However I wouldn't want to use anything other than the Axon or Industrial Radio systems for playing live unless the parts were very simple.

In the end I found it easier to learn a reasonable right-hand keyboard technique, and play synth parts that way.
