Hiya. I've been gigging my 2nd run JV Squire and my Peterson combo for a few years now. Would like a bit more juice, but we do have a hefty PA, so perhaps I'm just being greedy.
Turns out both amp and bass came from the same music shop - John Ham's in Swansea (brother of Badfinger's Pete Ham). I like to think they were in the shop at the same time, though I bought them independently of one another.
Recently fitted the gold anodised scratch plate - now I am the sh*t!

WOW that looks awesome. Is the Acoustic cab a 1x15 or 2x15 ?
I have the orange 115 & 210 cabs and thought about getting the AD200 head but thta rig takes me back to the halcien days of proper big bass rigs.

Peavey's greatest ever bass head. Loved it

Dave

Not sure why the photo didn't transfer along with the comment. (Peavey Mk4 bass head)

Thanks
It's an Acoustic 406 (wide) model 2x15. Great sounding cab particularly with the Orange

That must be one thunderous low end from that rig. I'm totally jealous. Loved those Acoustic rigs back in their day and with an Orange head that must sound like heaven on earth.

So is it heavy ?

My main big gig rig: Vanderkley Spartan with two TKS 2126:

My main small gig rig: Quilter BassBlock 800 with two TKS S112:

My blues rig: Peavey VB-2 (with custom made smoked oak cabinet) and one or two TKS S112:

My living room rig: very well sounding with more clean volume than you'd expect from such a tiny item. Even on five string...

Back to all valve and an amp I've listed over for years. Fantastic combination. Love it in my doom band after one rehearsal so far:

Is it just the light hitting the front panel or is the front face bent a little ?
Beast of a set up. Would love to hear it live.

Oldskool with my WEM boxes this evening. Sounded superb as the Goodmans speakers contained within were re-coned a few years back. Very smooth and warm sounding and all just about era appropriate except for the KHL 6er on the right!

Oldskool / New school with my SWR cabs - this setup really punches! Perfect combination of new and old together.
