Roland Rock
nice - can you describe why you like it so much... and what boxes on the floor you using too!
Ooh, there's a whole essay right there! The pedal board is: Single bypass looper>OC3>Oxide>Xerograph(with EP)>back to looper. Why do I like the rig so much? A number of reasons: - It easily gets the main tone that I want for my band - clean, deep but not boomy, with cut mids and highs. I tried many heads, and this and the Glockenklang were the outright winners. The advantage with this one is its 2000w of headroom. - I love a simple amp where I can get my tones without navigating a sea of gain and parametric EQ knobs - None of the components are that heavy, and it's no real hassle setting it all up/breaking it down. The only thing that it doesn't have is valve grit. I don't need this for my current band, but have kept hold of a valve amp for future projects. grey
Something I was playing around with a couple of weeks ago, using the Fractal as a preamp and the Ashdown as the power section. For the stuff I'm playing at the moment it's just a drive pedal in front of the Ashdown though. Simple, loud and angry (and cheap).

That's impressive! And, if I've got my thinking right, The Firebass amp could power 4 of the cabs on it's own. Are you sure you need THAT many? Or are you in a Mastodon tribute act! (I like Mastodon BTW.) Edited July 4, 2014 by indiegrungesound

BassTractor
Congrats, Jono. I think you may be in for a treat. My LB 112s are great, and reportedly one LB 212 is better than two of those.
BigBassBob
This is stating the obvious but it's interesting to see the trend of bassists moving towards smaller rigs, like 2x10s and 2x12s. Here's what I've been using for a few years:
tonyxtiger
In the interests of those not sticking with smaller rigs.
Henrythe8
For those who dig 2x10 combos... Just don't look. x SUNN BetaBass 100w 2x15"Combo + HenryThe8x8" Waking'up my neighbor's neighbor's neighbors. Yes, with only 100W. That's my idea of Downsizing.
