Bass player required for disco funk band currently being formed in the East Surrey area by a number of musicians who perform to a high/professional standard. The band will comprise two female vocalists, lead guitar, keyboard, bass and percussions. All band members will be expected to perform at a high level and auditions will only be offered to experienced musicians who can meet this criteria. Types of material to be performed will include Chic, Sister Sledge, Pointer Sisters, Rose Royce etc. The aim of the band will be to play larger venues and corporate events. Well paying quality gigs is the aim of the band rather than playing the usual pub/club venues. A musical understanding is paramount. Auditions will be held at the end of October/early November. An experienced bass guitarist is required to join a band based in the East Surrey/West Kent area. All of the band members perform to a good/high standard and we're looking for for somebody with similar levels of ability. The line up is lead, rhythm, bass, drums & vocalist. The vocalist and lead guitar both played professionally in previous lives, then common sense kicked in and they went on to get proper jobs! We've chosen to play material from 1965 to 1975 or thereabouts...........though we're not gonna be that anal about that range of dates.......playing good, live music and having fun doing it is what we're all about. Earning money at this stage of the band's development is not a primary consideration. Our current set list includes material from The Who, Kinks, Little Feat, The Eagles, ZZ Top and David Bowie. Old chestnuts such as All Right Now, Mustang Sally and Sweet Homa Alabama are totally banned from our set list. We do have a number of gigs in the pipeline.
