1. i have never paid £45 for a meal, but i would rather see music played in a big arena with a massive production. I do realise that Tower of Power wouldnt fill say the O2 but you can get tickets for the most in demand artists for £45 with huge a production. Also i guess its partly the fact i'm not a fan of ronnie scotts where i guess some people love the fact they can sit down and watch music and have a ridiculously fancy dinner.
2. my favourite part is the clarity in tone. The high mids can cut through anything. Also it has an amazing warmth similar to that of the aguilar cabs. I have never tried epifani cabs though so i couldnt compare. Ps. The Hartke cabs are very light. I once carried one in each arm to a mates house and only had to put the down twice (btw im incredibly small and weak)
3. what about spain by chick corea? its not too difficult and you can really express some soloing ability over the samba section. Might need to re-record it though to make it a shorter arrangement and so the original solo's aren't there
4. i played red hot chili peppers desecration smile for my audition to ACM, nothing harmonically challenging but it just sounds nice when played right.
5. you see i spend a day away from basschat and this is what happens!!
6. what would be on your's? for me it would be "if you want blood" AC/DC and "Thriller" MJ
7. i have a copy of the book but no audio for it. Just wondered if anyone had them and could email me them/ put them on a CD and post (at my expense of course) cheers, Ollie

9. really inspiring video, do you find the membership worth the money chris b? looks like a good site with lots of ideas for healthy pondering.
10. http://www.mi-pro.co.uk/news/read/bass-gear-teams-up-with-jamiroquai-bassist/015892 same 3+2 headstock, would'nt put it past being a fodera NYC.... sounds amazing!
11. as said before depends on sound. If your going to keep it passive i preferred lindy fralin over wizard. Just sounded a bit more old school R&B to me, which for motown and stax ect is brilliant. Also the slap tone with some good steel strings is very freddie washington
12. i had no idea there were so many rockers on basschat! im not going to say who A is, i cant believe no-one's got it! I tried to choose 3 very contrasting images and i think i was almost there. Letter C is indeed Guy Pratt
13.
None of them really... And I don't even know who the guy on the right is.
what is it about them you dont relate to bigred?
The bald one who plays with a plectrum.
can you guess who it is ad?
14. right guys heres the deal. In this picture there are 3 bass players. They are ordered A-C (left to right). So what you have to do is pick one that you think best represents you (as a person and a bass player) and two that dont. So for example. If it was a picture of a bird (A), a plane (B ), or a motorbike (C ), victor wooten would say he is a A and not B & C because he's a spiritual nut. Also give your reasons for your choice :-)
15. hi guys, weve now got 2 of the 4 songs we recorded 2 weeks ago on our facebook page. www.facebook.com/ninemilessouth not going to lie its classic rock and is very guitar driven, so iv not got any bass fills or my usual licks in there. still feedback on the songwriting/recording quality would be great. Recordings were done with a mex p bass strung with la bella hard rockers, through a hartke lh500 and then we used the hartke DI and a hx112 which was miced with an AKG D112.
16. play that funky music (white boy) wild cherry's
17. tell you what stingray pete like my band nine miles south on facebook, the new recordings should be on there by monday and you can teach these "kids" at your work that classic rock can be revived :-)
18. that bass was on with no reserve a few days ago and was only at 600 with 5 days to go! shame he obviously realised it was worth a lot more when he saw the new kings road lot
19. just compared the specs of the p basses (classic vs RW) and they're all the same so it is just the looks thats different. These RW basses do seem to sound killer although i cant buy one as the dakota red custom shop i tried has made everything iv played since slightly less enjoyable than they should be.
20. when buying these basses from dealers such as nick guitars you have a bit of protection. As its a registered company it must offer you services and guarantee's that a private seller can get away with not offering. You pay a bit more but feel safer about parting with such an amount of money.
21.
I had one identical! Know who the previous owners were? Lovely bass....best of luck with the sale!
only previous owners i know for definate are molan and psychoandy from here. Although Andy said he bought i from a shop somewhere near Ipswich. Again only selling because i need a car to get the better paid gigs. Also i may consider a trade for a Tanglewood overwater 5 with £950 going my way
22.
Don't wear pants or socks. More space saved.
and time ;-)
