No takers, so, i tried it at a practice by connecting this right to the mixing desks RCA outs and plug into this in the line input in stereo set it to 48k/24 bit, pressed record and to be fair to it, it sounded great, so have decided to keep it as its a great little tool for that.
so no longer available.

good shout, it is indeed so cheap now days to get good results from stupidly cheap gear and even free software like reaper with free plugins. also the second hand market is just littered with interfaces, as people are always upgrading, so don't be afraid of using older gear, ( newer gear is NOT always better) im still using stuff over 20 years old ( some of it is over 40 years old) with very good results, so ignor all the gear snobs, just get something that gets you going.
best bit of advice i can give is...... what ever you use to put your daw on, via laptop or pc, just use it for music production, no internet or anything else and switch everything else off on it you don't need, so you have not got loads of unnecessary processes going on in the background that will suck on your process and ram power.

Now regretting getting rid of most of my CDs way back!
i could never understand why musicians get rid of their CDS !
i have a wall of jazzfunk jazz latin and releated 0f about 700.
and to me each one of them not only represent a memory, but for me who is a writing musician releasing tracks
they also represent, formats, ideas, colors, textures, what instrument sounds good with others, whats dark, whats happy
how to create tension, when droping stuff out of a mix whats gluing stuff together, bass tones, and that's even before i start on
FX, reverb types, mix styles bla bla bla.
i think each one has something special to offer.
so to me they are like a very useful library of tools and the thought of getting rid of them just to buy them again in another format seems stupid, so i keep them, some very very hard to get ones as well, yea... i like CDs 🙂
so if you getting rid of anything funkjazz related, im ya man.
its the graveyard where all funky cds get to live agan :-)

".....Hi , are you interested in trade + money diff from me?
This is my item : http:/facebook-marketplace ( number removed by me) .pe...... "

yep been there also, you would not believe some of the stories i can tell of ....
timewasters,
scammers,
people taking the pi$$,
buyers that dont live in the uk,
people asking stupid questions,
people that have not read the description,
people asking will i deliver half the country away
people that do not turn up even though you waited in for them
people asking 10 questions for days then "its ok iv found another one"
people sending you dodgy links
people asking you to swap for this, then sending you a dodgy link
people asking for your address and contact number then radio silence.
people offering a courier to collect with cash.
people whos mum really want it but he is working off shore on an oil rig
peoples buying for a son or daughter cus its their birthday they can pay but are out the country.
people then when you click their profile have pics surrounded by palm trees, and live abroard
people that are a pastor and want you to send to a friend
yep facebook is rife with scammers, you have to be cautious.
and can be a real pain in the crack.
on saying all that, once you can navigate the minefield, i have met loads of really nice buyers and sellers.
and the best bit.... no Ebay fees ! .... but at the cost of all the sh!t you have to put up with.
my rule number 1,.... if it has to be sent....i dont except paypall, only bank transfer for obvious reasons.
and if collecting its cash ONLY !

I probably agree but be reminded, Funkgod, that Now That's What I Call... is owned by EMI and they've got lawyers, nasty smelly ones with no sense of fun at all. https://www.famemagazine.co.uk/emis-now-thats-what-i-call-music-series-opens-trademark-dispute-with-steampunk-band-the-men-that-will-not-be-blamed-for-nothing/that's interesting thanks for that, just checked and they must of released tones with that name as you get all the "now thats what i call 80s" American series of them all as well, and prob every other country has a version of it, they made a big fist full of cash from other peoples music.

The 80s is a very broad church which goes all the way from post-punk to acid house, via synth pop and abrasive guitar bands. Unless you cover all these genres you'll need to supply a bit more info regarding your set list.

I still have my old 2007 iMac in the workshop. Back in the day it was my DAW running Cubase on MacOS; now it's on Windows 7 and serves as my CNC and laser cutter controller. Those old iMacs were really well built, it's been faultless for over 16 years.
thats prob the reason so many studios still use them, i know 5 studios now that use these with windows 7 for various jobs. 3 of them because they had seen mine and was sick of there tower or lap top having probs, mine was purchased on good advice from one, in fact it was "i.clarke" on here who came up with the idea
and out of all of them ounce up and running only one of them have had a fault, and that was with the graphics, but was soon sorted.
great tools for the job

I am looking to upgrade but the last box I tried went back as it had a pathetic power supply attachment.hi kev you might want to have a look at these, if interested giz a bell and pop in, al show you it running.

That's interesting, I was a Windows 7 fan when I had a PC but I'm a bit restricted for space nowadays, which is why I have to use a laptop.
the imac is as you prob know, but just put here for others who dont know, is just like having a single monitor, there is no tower or box for the pc brain as the computer is built into the back of the monitor screen, the whole thing is as you see it. so its a pritty good space saving, option.

I mess around with home recording purely for fun on my Mac and would have been very interested in trying this, but unfortunately, it's Windows based only.😒
ahhh buggernutz, sorry i did not know that, being a windows user,
the only thing apple i have in the studio is an
Imac 27" that is running windows 7 as its os, and runs fantastically would you believe,
i use it to run all my software synths, which it does a great job with no probs whatso ever.
if it broke today i would get another old imac to replace it. you can get them now for £50
a great tool to have just for that job.
For anyone looking to get a cheap machine to run say an older version of cubase or like me all your software synths, to use as a stand alone system just to do a specific job these old imacs are a very good option over a lap top due to allot of reasons, size of screen for one and the speed of them, you can get windows 7 on them quite easy, youtube is your friend here, just look for the ones with the dvd/cd drive on the right hand side of the screen otherwise its a real pain loading windows in using an external drive ! again youtube is your friend here as well, if you want more info just shout.
