I own a Mk3 which is very similar. Incredibly fun and comfortable bass to play, and sounds spectacular. Easy to see why Nathan East favours them as a recording session bass!
-
I’d LOVE one of these in 5-string. I have one of the original 1990 PRS 4-strings.
Handsome bass, someone will love it!
-
Could do with a few but don’t need 13, so as it stands I’d be better off buying them new but let me know if you decide to split!
-
These are excellent, I have used mine several times when flying. Works well for electric guitars too, and I usually pack some clothes in as well.
@Burns-bass is also a superb bloke with whom I have dealt several times.

I had that Precision for a while and I also regret selling it, I got it from the guy you sold it to, I have a Squier JV 32" Jazz and mistakenly decided to keep that instead. I sold the P to @therealting who I imagine still has it.
I do indeed still have it. It serves me very well on days when my hands need a break from playing long scale!Still have the Jazz too, did I get that from you as well?

Cash offers and partial trades (cash my way) also considered.

Sorry, only just seen that I forgot to mark this sold.

Glad you found another, I really didn’t want to sell mine! 🤜🤛

@oldslapper and @darkelf, just to let you know that this went tonight. Typical that it was here for months and suddenly three interested parties emerge within a couple days of each other!

I am probably flying over to the UK next month. I will be in the Basingstoke area. Would like to try the instrument before buying if possible... Where are you located?
Location in the text of the ad. Provisionally have someone coming to have a look tonight though. -
Probably worth saying where and when the concert is.

I once had a Fender MIJ JB62M it looked great because as you say everything is scaled down, I think @therealting had it after me. I also previously owned a rather nice Squier Japan 32" scale P, I do still have a JV Squier medium scale Jazz.
Still have it, as well as the 32” scale MIJ P!- 1

I like them because they feel great, and you can dial in more “thump” with the tone knob.

Tentative trade feeler….
This is a tough one because this 2011 PRS Studio 10-top Black Gold is very close to being my ultimate guitar. It has been gigged and is no longer pristine (has a few finish scratches and edge damage), but it has one of the most beautiful guitar tops I’ve seen on any guitar, never mind one I’ve owned. I love almost everything about it: the way it looks (obviously - that top and the bird inlays are just 👌), the incredible Narrowfield pickups which can go from mini-humbucking to glassy Strat by rolling off the volume, the coil-tappable 57/08 bridge humbucker, the flawless action, the locking tuners and PRS bridge that keep things in perfect tune all the time.
I just can’t get used to the wide-thin neck.
Yes, I am one of those people who much prefer the Wide-Fat / Pattern / Pattern Regular… so I’d be particularly interested in chatting to anyone with one of those who prefers thinner, shreddier necks.
Would particularly be interested in a Special Semi-Hollow, Studio, Hollowbody, 509, 513 etc. Will consider cash offers and other gear including bass gear also, but please bear in mind that these are £4,500 brand new in the shops now.
SE London / South London / Surrey, can meet halfway for the right deal. I will not post this guitar.

For sale: Hello Kitty Stratocaster - Squier by Fender (£649)
Really not sure about this!! Doing a major clear out at the moment, and this quirky little Strat is next up on the block. These were only made for a brief period, and are fairly rare and highly sought after these days, with as-new examples exchanging hands for up to a grand.
The previous owner had owned it from new since she was a teenager, and it is completely stock and unmodified. It features a maple neck (with an oversized late-60s style headstock, maple fingerboard and pink dot inlays), a slightly thinner Strat-shaped body with a hardtail bridge, a pink finish, a single volume control, and a bridge humbucking pickup (both in white). Unique Hello Kitty scratchplate / pickguard, and the Hello Kitty logo on the back.
I think these were originally marketed towards girls, but it is very cool and I didn’t see anything wrong with playing it myself; it sustains and sings and I will happily keep it if no one bites!
Apart from some sun fade on the front and a few superficial scratches that aren’t noticeable (mainly on the back) unless you look carefully, it’s in wonderful condition. This one has been recently set up professionally (with 9s) and plays beautifully.
There is a cool little article about “How a Hello Kitty Guitar Became The Hottest Stratocaster” here:

£649 (cash, bank transfer or PayPal gift) collected or may be able to deliver or meet up somewhere along the SE London / Croydon / Guildford (Surrey) area. Would prefer a sale rather than a trade… but try me if you have something particularly interesting. Would prefer not to post, especially since I don’t have a suitable case.
I have a few bits and bobs on the block in the next few weeks / months, so let me know if you are interested and I’ll keep you posted.

hi there, I may be interested , is it still available? Chris
It is still available at present. -
May be worth mentioning the scale length. Lovely bass!

Doing a major clear out at the moment, and this is next up (and the first of ny basses) on the block. I got this a few years ago from @Rumpleto try out medium scale basses on the cheap, and ended up with several higher-end ones (some from him!). With that in mind, it’s time for someone else to benefit from this lovely little bass.
It features a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, black sparkle burst (looks great under stage lighting) over black body and white/pink/white pickguard with rose emblem, Precision and Jazz pickups, VVT controls. A previous owner put a carbon fibre vinyl with “Noirbass” on the headstock, which is easily removable.
This would particularly suit somebody with smaller hands, somebody with hand problems that make stretching painful, a younger player etc. I think these were originally marketed towards girls, but I didn’t see anything wrong with playing it myself! I particularly liked it for practising solo chord/bass/melody arrangements, as you will see/hear in the clip.
Click below see other views and a quick little clip to hear what it sounds like playing solo arrangements through my cheap Fender Rumble amp (surprisingly good!).

FOR SALE: Sonorus Skeletone Tapper (£599)
Doing a major clear out at the moment, and next up on the block is my wonderfully bonkers Sonorus Skeletone. This is a #touchstyle / #twohanded #tapping instrument in the style of a #ChapmanStick or #WarrGuitar. No longer made, these were handbuilt here in the UK based on the #TapLadder design, and the build quality, materials and fit and finish are all absolutely top tier.
This particular instrument has a 28” scale (a perfect compromise for the treble and bass sides), individual rail pickups with independent volume and tone controls and outputs, stainless steel rod “frets” with brass fret markers, Grover tuners and hardwood headstock and body base. There are strap buttons on either side making it easy to position in the typical more vertical position.
I experimented a fair bit with tunings and found it most intuitive for myself to tune both sides EADGBE, albeit with the bass side an octave lower like a Bass VI. I practiced daily for a few months during the pandemic, which helped my previously weak two-handed tapping technique tremendously… but realistically I think it’s probably time someone else got to have a go.
Comparable instruments like the Chapman Stick tend to sell secondhand for well into the four figure mark, so this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to dip their toe in at a bargain price. The condition is immaculate, with no sinks, scratches or dents.
Click and swipe to see other views and a quick little clip to hear what it sounds like through my cheap little Boss Katana and Fender Rumble amps (surprisingly good if you consider that I am a terrible player).
